Goood Health, excellent temperments, longevity & BREED TYPE = the standard of the chows from the My-Sam Line.....dedicated to continuing the tradition and the "My-Sam" look.
Almost 13 years ago I began showing chows. After almost 2 years of dragging around my first "show dog" to every show possible I decided to call it quits and spay her. I then purchased my first Champion from Frank & Sandra Holloway of My-Sam chows, "Bravegirl" - she became my foundation bitch. She was everything I could have hoped for, her stellar conformation, type and movement was unsurpassed. Although a little girl she was not to be missed in the show ring - what a personality!! She easily earned her Canine Good Citizen title and enjoyed therapy work. "Brave" finished her championship at 9 months old with a 4 and 5 point majors (over specials) in one weekend. She then went on to produce 2 litters - a total of 5 BOYS - all finished their championships with 3 or more majors. She easily earned her Register of Merit title producing my First Breeder/Owner Handled Best in Show dog - "Mickey".
"Mickey" has proven himself in the show ring, with an all-breed Best in Show, BOB Specialty wins, Awards of Merit and over 60 group placements, along with earning his Register of Merit (with very limited breeding) and his Canine Good Citizen title. I am most proud of his accomplishments in the whelping box. He continues the tradition of his (triple) grandfather, "Murphy", stamping his puppies no matter who he is bred to. At 10 he is a young senior who still never misses a beat in the show ring. His good health, conformation, tightly line-bred pedigree and temperment have made him the most integral part of continuing that "My-Sam" dog.
Mickey's daughter "Lily" is following in her father's paw prints, she is Group Placing and also a Specialty winner with very limited showing. Yes, she can beat the boys!!!! Lily will take time off from showing have her second and last litter with Robbie....she will return to the ring in spring 2011 as a veteran.
Our youngest bunch of kids are very promising.....Frankie is a massive boy with lots of size and awesome movement. Unfortunately, due to an injury just after his 2nd birthday, Frankie will not be back in the show ring. With his size, substance and tightly linebred My-Sam pedigree, Frankie will be a valued part of our breeding program for years to come. He has already produced some very promising puppies. Callie has finished her championship, with limited showing and we will breed her sometime in 2010. Callie is such a well made substantial girl with tons of personality - we can't wait to see what she does next. Robbie has just started his show career and is well on his way to hopefully be our next "specials" dog - he finished very quickly with several BOB from the classes and was already multiple group placing at just a year old. We will continue to show him every once in a while for fun until he is mature and ready to be actively shown in 2011. Following in her parents winning footsteps is Robbie and Lily's daughter, Gracie...our little miracle continues to make us proud in the show ring and at home. This beautifully typee girl has yet to show us what she can do.
Winston celebrated his 11th birthday in June and is enjoying the good life. For health reasons he was neutered but is doing great and is happy and very healthy. Luckily we have frozen and will hopefully see a few more litters from this big sweet boy.
